Privacy
At Clean Clothes Campaign, we will do our best to protect your privacy. Below are our current policies, and we will strive to keep up to date with best practices.
Website:
Cookies: We're using Matomo, an open-source alternative for Analytics, in order to improve our site. The data is hosted by us, not an external party, and is anonymized, we don't store individual IP addresses.
Video: where possible, we're using the no-cookie version of embedding services like Youtube; it is possible that on older pages with video an external cookie will be placed when playing the video.
Newsletter:
Do you want to subscribe to our newsletter? Great!
We do have to store your email address for that, using Mailchimp as external provider. The list is compliant with current GDPR legislation, you can of course always unsubscribe and we will never share or sell your data.
Petitions and other campaigns
We sometimes use petitions as part of our campaigns. Our petitions are using the privacy-aware and GDPR-compliant platform Proca, and we never share petition data with other organisations.
Donations:
Current donations are done using Donorbox and Stripe. We will not automatically subscribe you to any newsletter just because you donated, unless you provided your opt-in consent.
Press
We do maintain a press list. If you want to be included, and receive our press releases, send a mail to info@cleanclothes.org. Of course, we will also honor unsubscribe requests.
Other data
We run a system called CiviCRM (open source, self-hosted) to stay in touch with the hundreds of organisations that together make up the worldwide Clean Clothes Campaign network. This system is only accessible to qualified CCC staff.
Data requests
If you have data requests, including requests for correction or removal, you can send them to gdpr@cleanclothes.org
