Social media content creator & manager, remote position, starting asap
The Clean Clothes Campaign is looking for an experienced Social media content creator & manager to amplify our campaigns over social media.
Clean Clothes Campaign (CCC) is dedicated to improving working conditions and supporting the empowerment of workers - most of them women - in the global garment and sportswear industry. In the more than 30 years of our existence, an effective global network of more than 220 trade unions and NGOs has been created. Members and partners within the CCC global network are committed to a shared Global Strategic Framework, and cooperate in global working groups, as well as through national and regional coalitions. The role
Clean Clothes Campaign's International office is looking for a freelance social media manager and content creator to help our campaigns reach their full potential. On our Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, and elsewhere we are communicating with our 100K+ followers about the need for solidarity action with garment workers and what we can all do to hold brands to account. We need someone to make sure this content is engaging, matches our audience and mobilises them. Could that be you?
Tasks and responsibilities
- Produce, plan and organise content for campaigns across all our social media platforms
- Together with the Public Outreach team you facilitate the creation and conceptualisation of video and graphic materials
- Produce engaging social media content to enhance engagement and visibility
- Strategise, schedule, and manage posts across all social media channels
- Monitor engagement and respond to our audience to build a strong online community and boost visibility
- Support sending out our quarterly newsletter by selecting and curating content and co-drafting the message to supporters
We are looking for someone who
has successfully worked to engage audiences across various social media platforms with significant followings
can work with Canva, Adobe Premiere Pro is a plus
is comfortable with social media scheduling tools, pre-existing knowledge of the scheduling tool Later is a plus
has strong communication skills and sensitivity for different audiences and wishes in our network
can hit the ground running and quickly adapt to circumstances and needs in a dynamic organisation with a world-wide network
has experiences working in an NGO environment (not a prerequisite but a plus)
has fluency in English
We offer
- A freelance contract until the end of this year for up to 3 days a week, with a daily rate of 342 EUR for the EU (indexed for other locations), excluding VAT - extension might be possible as this is a temporary replacement.
- The opportunity to work in a non-hierarchical, vibrant and diverse global network to structurally improve working conditions and support the empowerment of manufacturing workers in global garment and sportswear supply chains.
We have offices in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, and Brussels, Belgium, but the role can be performed remotely. To be able to co-work efficiently and dynamically, our preference goes out to candidates working within 2 hours of the CEST timezone.
